Amelia

Sweet Amelia came into rescue with severe hip displaysia. Her original owners brought her to the vet when they noticed she couldn’t walk well. They discovered she had a blockage in her tummy & performed emergency surgery to remove quarters, nut, bolt, and some hard plastic. The owners could not afford the bill & surrendered her to the vet. CFBR paid the bill, brought her into rescue, & had both of her hips repaired. It’s been a long road and her foster mom has been there since day one, helped her recover through her surgeries, & did all of her therapy with her to make her strong & healthy. Amelia loved playing with her foster brother & he is now her forever brother! We are happy to announce she will be staying right where she is & her mom will continue making sure she has a full recovery. Here is what her mom has to say about her:

“Amelia has been a ray of sunshine added to this family, her spunky sass goes well with her brothers stubborn attitude, the two have become inseparable as their bond has grown from first sight. Amelia and I also developed a bond very early as she became my shadow anywhere I went. She loves chasing her brother, hopping around like a bunny in the grass, warm baths, and talking back to both me and her brother. It’s been an amazing journey seeing Amelia become a puppy at the age of 1 as both of her hips are healing up and she can run free and she can actually play! Before we know it, she’ll be jumping on the couch for her snuggles and to steal her brothers antlers, Remy and I are so happy to add her to our little family and are so excited that this has been her forever home all along ❤️
