Zeus

male - adult
Status: adopted

Meet this big cuddle bug, Zeus! He just turned 4 years old in January and came into our rescue as an owner-surrender. He was a loyal companion to a family who couldn’t spend as much time with him as they think that he deserves. This precious guy is such a happy boy, super playful and has lots of energy and love to give. He has a pretty great smile too!

Zeus’ favorite things are playing with toys, getting outside for walks (the more the better!) and will take as many cuddles as he can. He loves it when his foster mom plays fetch with his ball, but he also loves to play with his toys independently too! Getting ready to go outside he has a little tippy tappy paw dance because he’s so excited — he would love to show you! When he’s on walks with his foster mom, he gently walks along without pulling and he is easy to redirect if another dog is approaching. Some other dogs make him nervous and he may show a little aggression. His foster mom creates some distance and he is able to continue on his walk easily. Previously, he wasn’t given many opportunities to play with other dogs, so he is working on being more relaxed around other dogs.

Zeus would be happy to be the only dog in your home, but may get along with another dog who is more calm to even out his energy. He loves people so much and wants all that love to himself sometimes. Because of his past family life, Zeus is great with kids as well and is ready for a new, loving home! He’s gentle with his foster mom but does get a little scared of unfamiliar noises. He would appreciate a quiet and loving home with humans that can spend as much time with him as possible. He is mostly crate trained and will be happy to sleep overnight in his crate. He will relax in his crate during the day, managing about 6 hours, but does have mild separation anxiety and would prefer to spend time out with his humans that don’t have to be away from him for too long.

He is up to date with his vet visits, potty trained, crate trained and in good health overall (he’s a little overweight…shhh we haven’t directly told him that yet). He will come with his bed, toys, blanket, harness, leash and his crocheted blanket his foster sister made him!

His adoption fee is $850- he his neutered and up to date on all of his vetting. If you think he may be the ideal match for you -please complete our application online. Our adoption application fee is non refundable and goes towards helping our foster dogs vetting.
