Tobias was an owner surrender to a shelter that reached out to us in an emergency situation- he had an anal prolapse that needed emergency surgery so we rushed to get him from the shelter straight to an emergency vet for surgery. He also was neutered by our rescue vet and got all his his medical needs met. He is heart worm negative and fecal negative for any parasites- up to date on his shots and micro chipped.
Tobias has a wonderful personality with both dogs and people- if a dog doesn’t like him, he will give them space and ignore them but if they will play with him, he loves to play in typical frenchie fashion. He does have a sensitive tummy that will give him diarrhea and he will have blood in his stool for a few days if he gets extremely stressed and will need to go on a bland diet or prescription food for a week or two till his tummy settles down.
Tobias has a lot of puppy energy and would not do well in a home whose owners are at work all day and have an active lifestyle that keeps them away from the home for long hours. He will play fetch with you and he didn’t read the chapter that frenchies shouldn’t return the ball to his owner-he will! He will do wonderful with his potty training IF you keep him on a good schedule or there will be accidents inside and he hates going out in the rain. He will tolerate short walks but will have breathing issues if you take him on long walks or if it is hot outside. He loves to sleep with his foster family and is looking for a home with another playful dog and someone who is home more than they are away. Are you the ideal home for this sweet boy?
