Hi, I’m Roxy—part Frenchie, part cuddle expert, part neighborhood security patrol. The vets think I am about 2 years old and I absolutely love humans. I did have a litter in my past life before I came into rescue. Like… if you have hands for petting, we’re already best friends.  I take my toys very seriously, especially stuffies and wubbas (made by Kong)—and I bring 110% enthusiasm to playtime. I’m also a puzzle feeder pro because I like to eat smart and keep my tummy happy.

On walks, I make sure everything is in order. Sidewalk? Checked. Suspicious leaves? Investigated. You’re welcome. At night, I sleep in my crate like a champ, and I haven’t had a potty accident in a whole month (yes, I’m very proud of myself).  Cats are a big NO for me!  I don’t care for other dogs when on a walk but have done ok with a few. I have learned to share my toys with my foster mom’s golden doodle and play with her but it took some time and patience. If you’re looking for a loving, hilarious, slightly bossy best friend… I’m ready to move in.

Not sure how she is with nail trims as the one time she had one was when she was under for her spay and she does keep her nails pretty worn down from walks on the sidewalk. She loves the car. And she does well with my doodle but screeches at other dogs on our walks. Oddly though at the vet, she was calm and fine around other dogs. If she gets over aroused and too worked up- we give her a time out in her crate to settle down a bit. If she gets too worked up on walks when she sees other dogs- we either go the other way or we make her step aside or cross the street. She is good in the car and for baths. She is good at the vet for checkups and vaccines. She is good in new situations. Sometimes she will cower if you raise your hands above her head as she might have been hit by the people she came from previously. She is learning sit and wait- loves to play fetch but only drops if you throw another toy for her to get. She LOVES her crate and will often lay in there throughout the day and evening. She loves to go for walks but not where there are other dogs out walking, She likes an occasional pup cup-she thinks they are the best thing in the world. She takes an over-the-counter allergy pill every night. She loves cheese and strawberries and peanut butter for dogs ( Buddy Butter). She is a lap dog 1000% percent from the moment you sit down she wants to be in your lap or next to you. She has quite the personality and has no problem judging you with her excellent frenchie side eye. She does not bark except at the mailman- the resident golden doodle taught her that.

We think she would be an ideal only dog and there is a slight chance she might be ok with another dog if they are well behaved and the owners are patient.

She is spayed- current on all vaccines- microchipped- comes with some of her current food- bed, blanket and some of her favorite toys. Her adoption fee is $1000.

The resident dog is currently on strict crate rest due to pulling a muscle in her neck so we are hoping to find Roxy’s forever home sooner than later because it is challenging to keep them both from not being allowed to play right now together.
