* MEET JACKSON * Jackson, is a HANDSOME young and energetic frenchie that has a personality of his own. He enjoys belly rubs, ear scratches and of course TREATS! That being said, treat training is highly recommended with Jackson as he responds great with treats as he is food motivated. Jackson, can sit, wait/stay and we’re working on the “off/leave it” “come” commands, as well as getting in and out of the car with his seat belt. This big guy is long and tall, so countertops and things of importance are to be kept out of his reach! Remember: he LIKES FOOD! And putting things in his mouth; just think of a toddler and “puppy proofing” your home – if you want to keep it, then keep it out of his reach.
He enjoys walks (walks VERY well on leash) and a good run in the yard (got to get the zoomies out). As we don’t know his FULL story of how he came to be, his FUREVER home will need to have patience and consistency for you both to thrive. He does want to play and will consider that you are another dog, so “off” is definitely something to continue to work on. At his foster, he has not had any potty accidents since his arrival. Jackson sleeps well in his crate, bathes nicely in the tub and after the recent thunderstorm, he didn’t appear reactive at all.
Jackson has not been physically around any dogs while in his foster home, but on walks, he just wants to pay attention to everyone and everything in eyesight. He’s not really a barker except when he wants to PLAY! Since he’s still a youngin’ he may do well with another dog to get that energy out that likes to play a little rough and doesn’t mind being jumped on, but small children won’t be a good fit, as they both like to put things in their mouths and Jackson does have some mouthy tendencies. Jackson will need firm – yet positive and consistent training and of course treats to motivate him.
Give this not so little 34lb nugget a chance to warm your heart and scratch his cute lil bottoms. Ideally a nice fenced in yard for him to burn some of his puppy energy off. Jackson is VERY treat motivated and loves to learn new things and it is imperative that his adopters are willing to continue to work with him. Training classes with a positive trainer would be ideal for him and his new owners-not somewhere to send him off for training. Negative and force training gets him riled up and more agitated!
He is neutered and up to date on all of his vetting- current on his heartworm and flea/tick preventative- negative stool and microchipped as well. He comes with his bed, leash, harness and a large bag of his current food. No health issues or allergies- good with all kinds of treats and ready to find the right home. He is wonderful in his crate and sleeps in there at night and when his foster family goes out and needs a break from his puppy energy.
His adoption fee is $1050 and he is 1 ½ years old.
