Hi I’m “sweet” Ellie! I am 2 years old and have a ton of personality!
I’m loving, snuggly, patient and curious.
My previous family spoiled me but just didn’t have enough time to take care of me anymore. You can tell by my behavior that I was very loved and it shows.
A little bit about me. I love squeaky toys! I mean I REALLY love them – as many as a girl can get her paws on! The squeaky noise really grabs my attention. Balls too – I love to chase them. Yes. You heard that right, chase them! I don’t mind chilling in my x pen. I’m happy to be on my own there for a while. I don’t mind if you need to go out for a bit I enjoy taking naps through out the day. To stay this cute I need my beauty sleep. I like snuggling safely on the couch with you. I’m happy to sleep in my x pen, but your bed would be nice too. Just make sure I’m safe and secure before you fall asleep. I come with my own set of wheels which is easy to learn how to put me in. I love taking walks, going for car rides and exploring the outdoors. I have a true curiosity for nature. Health – I was diagnosed with IVDD and had surgery in March 2025. My back end/legs are paralyzed. I might get some more movement back. I have been working weekly with a physical therapist to try and make that happen. In the meantime, I get around great in my cart or scooting around on the ground with my harness. I wear fashionable briefs for my bathroom needs. Don’t worry, I’m good at letting you know when I need something like water, food or my diaper changed. For my meals I eat a special kibble that helps my bladder. It’s important I stay on it to stay free of those pesky kidney stones. Bonus- I also like my food as a treat. I’ll need a family with someone who works from home or is home most of the time to make sure I’m safe and stay dry. I’m ok being the only dog or one other dog who is calm, plays nice with me, and will give me space until I know I can trust them. No young children please. Bonus I’m super chill and could always come with you to work. You might need to leave a few minutes early because everyone is going to want to stop and pet me on the way into the office, I’m just that cute. I love going for car rides and I’m quiet and calm in the car. Please know Caring for me does take a little extra time and effort – but once you get a routine down- it is pretty easy. I promise to be patient with you because I know you are trying to help me. My foster mom will be happy to share with you more tips and tricks on how to best take care of me.
