Say hello to Buddy Buttercakes or Buddy for short!
He is a handsome 5 year old Frenchie who loves to cuddle. He is a very gentle boy, and can be shy at first. But once he gets to know you, he won’t hesitate to rest his head on your lap, or give you a paw to show he’s ready for some pets! Like his name suggests, he will be an absolutely loyal companion to the people who show him love and care.
Buddy loves to be outside, and when walking on a leash, prefers the road less travelled by walking in the grass instead of the sidewalk. He is completely house-broken, and makes sure no accidents happen inside as long as he gets some fresh air 4-5 times daily. Buddy is very comfortable in his crate, and will walk right in when it’s time. He will get very excited in the mornings or when you get back home, and cannot wait to be back on the couch cuddling.
Buddy loves his foster sister. He loves to play and even started cuddling her during naps on the couch. However, supervision with toys and meal times is recommended as he has had moments of assertiveness as he is still learning the good life. He has gotten better as time goes on. Due to his previous situation it’s recommended that his new home only consist of a female dog and no young children. In his limited interactions with other dogs he gets along best with females his size.
Buddy is looking for a home as either an only pet or a female frenchie. No children under the age of 15. Someone who understands slow intros with their dog and him in the beginning and who will continue to keep him on track with his potty training- his foster parents did a great job getting him to be accident free now.
He does have seasonal allergy and responds well to cytopoint injections and medicated baths and staying on his current food to keep his skin looking great!
