Billie Jean is a sweet former momma who will just steal away with your heart. She has learned all about living the good life, and loves to be cozy- If you’ve got a sun drenched spot in your home or a soft bed, she will find it!. Miss Billie Jean LOVES toys- she will grab a toy out of the toy bin, enthusiastically play with it for two minutes and then go grab another one. At the end of the day, she has a pile of toys in her bed. She hopes her forever family will have a few stuffies waiting for her. Overall she is pretty quiet, very affectionate, and loves face and belly rubs. She loves attention so much that sometimes she throws her whole self at you with excitement! Because of her boundless love- no children under the age of 10).
She is a really good girl, who listens pretty well, and has been doing very well in her foster home with two other female dogs. She does get a little intimidated by large dogs, so no large dogs requested in her adopting family. Billie Jean loves to be with her people, is eager to fetch, and is learning “sit” and “touch” commands. She is very food motivated, so treats can be a useful tool for teaching her new things.
Billie Jean has been doing great with potty training but still has an occasional accident. She is GREAT in her crate, and goes right in at night to sleep. Sometimes she will wake up and whine a little, but will settle right back down. As much as Billie Jean loves her people, she does like to look for an escape, so keep fences and doors secure at all times. While she is in great overall health, she could use a regular epsom salt foot soak.
Billie Jean would do very well in a home that will continue to work with her on her eagerness, and shower her with love. She has so much zest for life, that she can be overly eager on the leash and around food. This lady is a bundle of joy with so much love to give! Billie Jean’s birthdate is 7/15/18 and last weighed in at 30 lbs at her vet visit. She is spayed- up to date on all of her vaccines- heartworm negative and current on her heartworm preventative and microchipped.
