Ernie Banks

male - puppy
Status: adopted

Hi, I’m Ernie Banks.

I am looking for my forever home. Here’s a little about me: I only know one speed, and that is 100 mph. I just turned a year old on the 16th of March and I’m full of energy. My foster dad calls me a flying Frenchie because I spend more time airborne than on my feet. I love to follow my humans everywhere they go around the house. I have to make sure they stay safe. Being loved on is my favorite thing ever! I will tell you when to stop, so don’t worry about overdoing it. I love going for walks and I do great on my leash. I might be small, but the longer the walk, the better. I loved spending time with my foster brothers, but I don’t like sharing my toys, sometimes leading to a fight.  My owner had to give me up because I was fighting with my frenchie brother and I get jealous easily about sharing people and toys with other dogs so ideally, I would thrive as an only dog with someone who has time to play with me and love on me and give me their attention. My new forever home would benefit greatly if they enrolled me in positive training classes so I can learn to share and not be jealous of other dogs.  My foster dad taught me how to sleep in my crate, but I only agreed to do so as long as I could sleep in the same room as him. Overall, I am told I’m one of the good boys. I can’t wait to find my forever home and spoil my new humans with lots of love. My ideal home also would work from home, as I don’t like to be left alone for long periods. I was skinny and not gaining weight when I came into foster care but have gained weight and my tummy issues and giardia are cleared up now. My vaccines are up to date, neutered and microchipped. I will come with my bed, leash, harness, a few toys and my current food. I am on a new diet that it is important I stay on- it is made by Natural Balance limited ingredients with sweet potato and venison due to my tummy issues being from allergies. Currently I don’t need allergy medication but due to my non standard color – that could be an issue as I get older.

My adoption fee is $1150- if you feel you are the ideal forever home for Ernie Banks- please complete our online application.

Ideal forever home would be:

  • Someone who works from home
  • Ready to take on an energetic puppy
  • No other pets in the home
  • Will keep him on his current diet
  • Enroll him in positive training classes for socialization and training
  • Aware that he may have allergy issues as he grows older due to his coloring.
