Cookie

Cookie would be an ideal forever frenchie for a retired couple- she has a lot of love to share and loves to cuddle- she is not high energy or demanding.Best if you have a fenced in yard and live in a neighbor that doesn’t have a lot of dogs- as she does not do well when she encounters dogs on a walk.
Cookie has a sweet disposition and is professional snuggler. She loves to play (particularly with small tennis balls), and loves to go on walks IF she doesn’t run into other dogs while out on a walk. At night and while we are at work she sleeps in her crate. We’ve never had any issues with anxiety or separation anxiety when we leave. She does well in her crate and is house-trained. She’s very good at letting you know when she is ready to go out (sitting and staring at you awkwardly).
As for her nature around other dogs, she doesn’t do well. Cookie does NOT LIKE when people make fast movements or rough house, if you play hit someone in your home-she will growl-she can not tell the difference between play and rough housing- due to this factor- we are looking for a forever home for Cookie without multiple children or small children. She does well with people, but with other animals she becomes territorial and tends to nip or bite at them. Must be a home with no other pets (cats or dogs). She must also be leashed when ever she is outside a fenced-in area. She is a runner, and like to go fast.
Medical issues are very limited. She seems to be slightly allergic to grass or something in dirt. We have found that wiping her paws quickly when she comes in from going out takes care of any possible irritation. She also eats corn and wheat free food.
Overall, she is fantastic dog and will make any family that she ends up with happy.Cookie would be an ideal forever frenchie for a retired couple- she has a lot of love to share and loves to cuddle- she is not high energy or demanding.
(just a heads-up, when she goes to a new place she is anxious and tends to not eat for the first few days. It took three days for her to get comfortable enough in our apartment to begin eating. Now she runs the place.)
